Rediscover your inner courage to let go of fear

Calm

Psychotherapist, author and lecturer, Wayne Dyer, said: "The components of anxiety, stress, fear, and anger do not exist independently of you in the world. They simply do not exist in the physical world, even though we talk about them as if they do."

Stress is a necessary part of living. However, while positive stress is used as a motivator and is based on choice, negative stress can be debilitating, adversely affecting your body, your behaviour, your thoughts and emotions.

Negative stress happens when you are in a situation that you believe you can't control, and that makes you feel like a victim of circumstance. It's marked by an inability to cope and an inability to control. If it's not dealt with, that stress—or flight or fight response—accumulates in your body and brain, often leading to a crisis point.

If you've experienced trauma at some stage in your life, you are likely to be carrying that stress in your body every day. You are likely to be ever-vigilant and feel very unsafe, no matter who you're with or where you are. My trauma process will help you to alleviate some of that trauma, enabling you to move ahead and leave behind that traumatic experience as a memory only.

How hypnosis helps

The effects of stress manifest differently, but our physical and psychological responses are very similar. Our subconscious mind wants to protect us, so our responses to difficult situations tend to be preprogrammed. Hypnotherapy can help you to reorganise your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and change beliefs that no longer serve you. Being able to maintain a sense of control and proportion is a very powerful way of dealing with the many demands that are placed on us every day.
